Crepes on Catalpa

One of our favorite restaurants in NYC was called Crepes on Columbus. It was this amazing little place nestled up by Colombia University. The Crepes were to die for, and we reminisce about them all the time.
Today we decided to bring a piece of NYC home with Crepes on Catalpa. The kids made menus and set the table nicely, and Mom was hired as the chef. We made banana, pecan and Nutella, strawberry with whipped cream, ham and Swiss, and cinnamon sugar. Halle was the waiter who took everyone's orders and them we all enjoyed our delicious crepes. It was a fun way to begin our Sunday!

Easter

Easter came and went in a blur this year!  We had fun at our annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  Blake saw some eggs by a tree and he refused to move from that spot.  We had to solemnly swear that we would guard those eggs while he went to be in the group picture :)

  

Easter morning brought more fun with dad’s tradition of hiding the Easter Baskets.  The kids look forward to this every year.  This was the first Easter in the new house, so there were plenty of fun, new hiding spots. 

 

After the candy fest was over we all dressed up in our Easter best for pictures and church! 

 

As I’ve been thinking about our Savior this Easter season, I came across this quote from President Hinckley: “Of all the victories in human history, none is so great, none so universal in its effect, none so everlasting in its consequences as the victory of the crucified Lord who came forth in the Resurrection that first Easter morning."
